It appears that the library’s magic show over February break last year was a hit. In one week, the Southborough Library is bringing back magician Mike Bent.
The performer promotes that his “AbraKidAbra” show act:
combines amazing magic, big laughs, audience participation and hilarious surprises for a one-of-a-kind, interactive experience.
The show will take place on Wednesday, February 19th from 4:00 – 4:45 am on the library’s main floor. All ages welcome and no registration required.
According Bent’s, website the magician was honored by Best of Boston in the ’90s. But his talent at entertaining children was recognized beyond Boston. First Lady Laura Bush invited him to perform at the White House’s Easter Egg roll. He must have impressed, since he was invited back each year after through 2016 by Bush, then First Lady Michelle Obama.
The official White House program called Mike “one of the most creative and imaginative people in magic.”
He is also “a featured performer at Hollywood’s famed Magic Castle.”
The free event is sponsored by the Friends of the Southborough Library.
