Here are my highlights from Algonquin varsity sports competitions last week and the schedule for this week.
Yesterday, a former Algonquin player and Southborough native was in headlines again. Alex Karaban was disappointed with UConn Men’s March Madness 77-75 loss to Florida. There’s a lot of media speculation about whether he’ll return next season to shoot for another championship win or take off his Huskies jersey and move onto the NBA next year.
Speaking of sports stars. . .
According to the Community Advocate, the MidWach League posted its list of Winter All Stars. That included a slew of Titans. Below are the over 30 ARHS athletes (from CA’s article here):

As for Gonk’s spring sports, only Girls Lacrosse is scheduled to officially kick off its season competitions this week. Other sports are still warming up.
