Kids can sign up to be paired with teen “Reading Buddy”

The Southborough Library is introducing a new program  this spring for beginner readers ages 3 years and older. The program partner kids with teen “Reading Buddies” for six weeks.

The Library promotes the opportunity for kids to register to be part of the program.

This event is in addition to the frequent “Read to a Dog” opportunities the Library hosts. But obviously, while cute, the dogs don’t really understand what kids are reading to them.

The new program with human buddies will meet weekly on Friday afternoons from 3:30 – 4:30 pm in the Children’s Room. Parents/guardians are required to stay in the library for the program.

Reading Buddies will run from from April 11th to May 16th. Click here to sign up.
