This position performs administrative, supervisory, and support work related to managing elections, maintaining accurate records of births, deaths and marriages, licenses and permits, the annual town census, annual town meetings, and office administration. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated history of working effectively with the public, providing positive customer service, and resolving customer complaints quickly and effectively. Adherence to deadlines, along with a demonstrated
history of exceptional attention to detail is required. The ideal candidate must have a demonstrated history of improving office efficiency and productivity through innovation. Proficiency in Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat is required. Salary range is $66,768 – $88,130. The two positions below are each advertised using the same description: Work includes typical Highway Division operations including on-call duty, brush mowing, tree work, hauling, line painting, street sweeping, catch basin repair, pothole filling, plowing, and cemetery operations. Work also includes other Public Works operations including, but not limited to, water main break assistance and transfer station operations. The following is preferred: a CDL, Class A, with air brakes or must be able to obtain within six months, a Class 2A hoisting license or must be able to obtain within 12 months, basic mechanical knowledge and background in construction equipment, as well as general Public Works maintenance is preferable.- Equipment Operator II (full-time)
