  • Live Music with AK Cody (8:00 pm) @ Owen O’Leary’s, 50 Turnpike Rd: Award winning Country/Southern Rock & Soul singer & songwriter AK Cody will perform his original music and popular country covers. . For details, see Facebook event.

  • [Note: This event might have been cancelled] — Algonquin NHS’ Easter Egg Hunt (9:00 am) @ Algonquin Regional High School Football Field: The registration link for this event no longer works and I can’t find any information promoting whether this is still taking place. (Originally, this was advertised as including the egg hunt, photos with the Easter Bunny and other festivities, free to Northborough and Southborough residents.)
  • Southborough Kindergroup’s Easter Egg Hunt (10:00 am) @ Southborough Library: Rain or Shine. The Southborough community is invited to an egg hunt with other festivities. The event is free, but attendees are asked to pre-register to help them plan. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Read to a Dog (11:00 am – 12:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, Children’s Room: Register for kids ages 5+ to get a chance to read to a therapy dog. For details, see related post.
  • Southborough Safe Spaces – Youth Meeting (6:30 – 8:30 pm) @ St Mark’s Episcopal Church parish hall, 27 Main St: Event for grades 6-12 hosted by Southborough Safe Spaces for LBGTQ+ youth of all faiths and their allies. This meeting will feature the Art of Blackout Poetry & Altered Books. For details, see their Facebook post.

  • Cutler Jazz Festival (6:30 pm) @ St. Mark’s School: The public is invited to the free annual jazz night featuring the private school’s bands, a featured guest artist/composer, and jazz bands from Trottier and Algonquin. For details, see dedicated post.

Monday, April 14, 2025

  • Walking Group for Seniors (8:30 am) @ Trottier Middle School’s outdoor track: Free weekly walking group organized by the Southborough Senior Center. Walkers generally go for an hour, but continue for as long as you wish. The location is a loop, so feel free to join late.
  • Preschool Story Time (10:30 – 11:15 am) @ Southborough Library Children’s Room: Ages 2-5 are invited for stories and a craft based on a weekly theme. No registration required. For details, see related post.
  • Knitting Club & Quilting Club (1:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: Weekly opportunity for senior crafters to work on their projects in a social setting, including knitting, sewing, cross stitching, needle point. For details, see related post.
  • Therapy Dog (4:00 – 5:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, Eaton Meeting Room: Destress and relax by spending some time with a certified therapy dog. For all ages. For details, see dedicated post.

  • Narcan Training (6:00 – 6:30 pm) @ Southborough Library: Register for free training to recognize and respond to opioid overdoses with a free kit. For details, see dedicated post.

  • Walking Group for Seniors (8:30 am) @ Southborough cemetery, 11 Cordaville Road: Free weekly walking group organized by the Southborough Senior Center. Walkers generally go for an hour, but continue for as long as you wish. The location is a loop, so feel free to join late.
  • Youth Nature Club (4:30 – 5:30 pm) @ Southborough Library: Youth volunteers in grades 6th-12th are invited to join in nature-themed activities and help with the library’s seasonal veggie garden and native plant garden.. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Southborough Rotary Club (7:00 – 8:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, main floor: Regular meeting of the Rotary Club of Southborough. New and prospective members are always welcome. (Held on the 1st & 3rd Wednesdays of the month.)
  • Neary Building Project Presentation (7:00 pm) @ Trottier Middle School Auditorium: The Neary Building Committee’s public forum will be a presentation of project “Site Overview” followed by Q&A. The event will be recorded for future viewing. For details, see related posts.
  • Live Blues Jam n’ Open Mic (8:00 – 11:00 pm) @ Owen O’Leary’s, 50 Turnpike Rd: Come play or sing with the house band and fellow musical talent, or just enjoy the show. For details, see restaurant website.

  • Mah Jongg (10:00 am) @ Southborough Senior Center: The weekly program would love new players to join. Feel free to stop by to watch or talk to one of the players to see if you would be interested. For details, contact the Senior Center at 508-229-4453.
  • Baby/Toddler Storytime (11:00 – 11:45 am) @ Southborough Library Children’s Room: A weekly program for ages 0-2 years with their parents/caregivers. Each session will include puppets and music. No registration required. For details, see related post.
  • DIY Easter/Spring Centerpiece Workshop (6:30 – 7:30 pm) @ Gulbankian Florist, 40 Mt Vickery Rd: This floral arranging workshop features a bunny topiary and flowers in a wooden box. There is a registration fee and attendance is limited. For details, see related post.
  • Southborough Democratic Caucus (6:30 – 8:30 pm) @ Southborough Library: Southborough Democrats will hold a public meeting to elect delegates for the annual MassDems convention in September. Any registered Democrat may vote (and the general public at large is welcome to attend).
  • Karaoke (9:00 pm) @ Owen O’Leary’s, 50 Turnpike Rd: Come and be the star. DJ and Karaoke at Owens every Thursday.

  • NSBORO School holiday & start of spring break: Due to the Good Friday holiday, there is no school for Northborough-Southborough Public Schools. This is also kicks off Spring Break for the schools, since there is no school the following week.
  • Dull Men’s Club (10:00 am) @ Southborough Senior Center: Casual social club for senior men. New members are always welcome to drop in. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Canasta (10:00 am) @ Southborough Senior Center: A weekly card group playing “Hand & Foot”. For details, contact the Senior Center at 508-229-4453.
  • Kids Jam (11:00 – 11:30 am) @ Southborough Library Children’s Room: Newborns through preschoolers are invited to dance and sing. No registration necessary. Sponsored by the Friends of the Southborough Library. For details, see related post.
  • Youth Writing Club (3:30 –  4:30 pm) @ Southborough Library Teen Room: Join the library’s writing group for 10-13 year olds for monthly meetings to spark ideas and share fun projects.. Email msorensen@southboroughma.com for more details.
  • Reading Buddies (3:30 – 4:45 pm) @ Southborough Library: Registration is required for this program (weekly through May 16th) that pairs readers in training (ages 3 +) with a teen reading buddy. For details, see dedicated post.

  • Read to a Dog (11:00 am – 12:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, Children’s Room: Register for kids ages 5+ to get a chance to read to a therapy dog. For details, see related post.
  • Sit & Knit (2:00 – 4:00 pm) @ Southborough Library: Semi-monthly program for ages 18+ to drop in and work on your latest knitting or crochet projects while you enjoy the company of fellow yarn crafters in a relaxed social setting. All levels are welcome but no formal instruction will be given.

Monday, April 21 — Patriot’s Day

  • Town Facilities Closed: Town Hall, Town offices, the Southborough Library, and the Senior Center are closed for the state holiday. (Plus, this is spring break week for public schools.)
