Congregation B’nai Shalom is inviting families with little ones to celebrate “the Birthday of Trees”.*
A special Tot Shabbat will be held in conjunction with PJ Library at the synagogue. The synagogue will host the Tu B’Shevat celebration for tots a couple weeks early on Saturday, January 12th at 10:15 am. The event is for families with children 6 years old and under. B’nai Shalom is located at 117 East Main Street, Westborough.*
Registration is requested by emailing earlychildhood@cbnaishalom.org or Mindy Hall at mhall@jcfm.org. (Click here for the event flyer.)
B’nai Shalom’s Early Childhood Education page describes its occasional Shabbats for tots:
Tot Shabbat provides a warm, fun-filled, and accessible Shabbat experience for your entire family. Geared to children from birth to age five and their parents, Tot Shabbat is led by an experienced musician and one of our Rabbis. Tot Shabbat includes a welcome art activity, often linked to an upcoming holiday. Then, children and families also gather for a brief, 30-minute service filled with song, prayer, movement, stories, and fun. Following the service, a light children’s snack is served.
You can check the page out for other programs for tots and families.
*Editor’s Note: I generally only cover events outside of Southborough when they have a clear link to our town. Since we don’t have a synagogue in town, I occasionally share news from B’nai Shalom.
