The Southborough Library is launching a new DIY Workshop series for teens. The focus getting ready to feel “Prom Perfect”.
Teens not used to doing makeup for formal occasions can learn to “glam” up. Anyone worried about being out of step with the latest line dances can catch up on what’s hot. And there’s also cost savings with a free session allowing students to arrange a corsage/boutonniere.
Starting this week, the free sessions will be held on three Thursday afternoons at 4:00 pm.
At each of the events, participants can enter for a chance to win a prom package from Mocine Salon & Spa. The winner’s name will be drawn at the final program on May 16.
The series will wrap up the night before Algonquin’s big dance. That means it’s perfect timing for the flowers arranged that night to still be fresh as a daisy. (Don’t worry, I’m sure they won’t be using daisies. . . unless that’s the latest trend I missed.)
To be clear, that doesn’t mean you have to be an Algonquin student or prom goer to attend. Whether a teen is getting ready for another school’s prom, or just interested in the workshop topic, the programs are free to all. The one catch is that space may be limited.
