  • Woodward SOS fundraiser @ Yama Fuji, 162 Cordaville Rd: The restaurant is hosting the fundraiser, Mon-Fri this week. For every dine-in customer who shows the flyer, 15% of the bill will be donated to the non-profit. For more details, see dedicated post.

  • NSPAC General Meeting (10:00 am – 11:00 am) @ Southborough Library, 25 Main St: Presentation on Special Needs Estate Planning. For more information see dedicated post.
  • First Wednesday Book Group (11:00 am – 12:30 pm) @ Southborough Library, Main Floor: Please join several community members for a monthly morning book club the first Wednesday of the month at the Southborough Library. (E-Mail Over50andSR@msn.com to join the group.)
  • Night Sky program flyerHands on Nature: Night Sky (3:45 – 5:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, Eaton Meeting Room: Discover all the beauty of our night sky and become more familiar with its great expanse. We will learn to identify and recognize some of our constellations, and enhance the quality of stargazing. There is a whole world to explore after dark! Includes a fun night sky activity for children of all ages. This program is recommended for children ages 5-10 years old. Please register in the Children’s Room or by calling. This event is sponsored by Friends of Southborough Library.
  • Training session run by State Ethics Commission (6:00 – 8:00 pm) @ Cordaville Hall/Southborough Senior Center, 9 Cordaville Rd: The Town is hosting the training session for board/committee volunteers and any interested members of the public. The State Ethics Commission serves the public by fostering integrity in government. The training will include Conflict of Interest rules which apply to elected officials, all town employees and volunteers appointed to boards and committees. For details, see dedicated post.

  • Legos at the Library (3:45 – 5:00 pm) @ Southborough Public Library, Eaton Room: Children are welcome to come build with Legos, and display their creations in the Children’s Room. Legos will be provided, but all materials need to remain at the library. Parents or caregivers must stay with children during this event.
  • Community Visioning Forum (6:30 – 8:30 pm) @ Trottier Middle School Auditorium: The Master Plan Committee is seeking input from Town Residents on their vision of Southborough in 10, 20, 30 years and beyond. To this end the Master Plan Committee is inviting Southborough Residents to a Community Visioning Forum. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Self-Defense 101 (7:00 – 8:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, main level: Presented by Villari’s Martial Arts Center. Space is limited to 15 participants. For details, see dedicated post.

  • Scouting for Food deadline (8:30 – 9:00 am) @ your driveway: Leave your non-perishible contributions to Scouting for Food (for the Southborough Food Pantry) at the end of your driveway by 9 am. (Please check expiration dates first.) Scouts will be picking up contributions until about 12:30. Or you can bring your donation directly to the Southborough Food Pantry at Pilgrim Church before 12:30.
  • Scouting for Food sorting (9:00 am – 12:00 pm) @ Pilgrim Church: Scout volunteers will be sorting through collected donations for the Food Pantry.
  • Drama Out of the Box (11:00 – 11:45 am) @ Southborough Library: Children explore the world of acting through pantomime, story-telling and creative expression. This program is for children ages 5 and up. Registration is required. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Southborough Library. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Windsor Chair Making (1:00 – 4:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, main level: An expert will share his knowledge and experience designing and building Windsor chairs with demonstration of using antique-style tools.
