Over the weekend, Algonquin Gymnastics won the South Sectional title. Wicked Local writes:
Lizzy Debroczy had the meet of her life on Saturday.
At the South sectional gymnastics tournament, which featured 12 teams, the Algonquin sophomore stole the show and helped the Tomahawks win the team competition inside of their own gymnasium. (read more)

The champs will host the state tournament this Saturday.
Several THawks competed at their state championships over the weekend. On Saturday, two Wrestlers hit the mats in the Division 2 tournament in Milton. Rafael Knapp placed third for his weight class. (Looks like that qualifies him for All States this Saturday.) Indoor Track teams sent about a dozen girls and one boy to their state tournament. You can check out their results here.
Just entering the playoffs this week are Basketball and Ice Hockey.
This afternoon, Gonk Boys Basketball will play in the Central Mass sectional. The 9th seed team is heading 8th seed Holy Name. If they triumph, they’ll have to face top seed St. John’s on Thursday. The Gonk Girls team failed to qualify this season.
THawks 4th seed Boys Ice Hockey will face upper seed Marlborough on Wednesday in the First Round. ARHS Girls Ice Hockey will join the fray at some point. The 8th seed Girls have a Bye on the preliminary round. They’ll eventually play 9th seed Westwood.
