Under the phased plan for reopening the state issued on Monday, the Governor’s office will allow libraries to begin curbside/delivery service next week. That doesn’t mean they are required to. Some may not be equipped to do it safely, others may need more time to gear up the infrastructure.
Now, the Southborough Library is asking residents to help them figure out their next steps. A survey asks “Help us plan the short-term library services during the pandemic.”
The Pandemic Services Survey is intended to gauge resident interest in curbside and/or delivery services for books and library materials. (It wouldn’t make sense to invest in a service no one wants to use.)
Alternatively/additionally, the survey also asks about patrons’ continued interest in ebooks and other digital services.
