  • Drop-in Pickleball (9:00 am – 12:00 pm) @ Richardson Tennis Courts, on the Neary School campus (53 Parkerville Road): The Southborough Recreation is offering the program for free to Southborough residents that are 55 years or older. For details, see dedicated post.
  • ARHS Community Forum (12:00 – 1:15 pm) @ zoom webinar: Community Forum held by the Northborough-Southborough Public Schools to answer questions about the School’s Reopening Plans. This one is dedicated to Algonquin Regional High School. For details see dedicated post.
  • Middle School Community Forum (4:30 – 5:45 pm) @ zoom webinar: Community Forum held by the Northborough-Southborough Public Schools to answer questions about the School’s Reopening Plans.   • Coffee Talk (10:00 – 11:00 am) @ live streaming on Facebook: A mid-morning online talk show featuring community guests hosted by Southborough Youth and Family Services. This episode features Cindy Beard, Outreach Coordinator for the Southborough Senior Center. (Note: you don’t have to have a Facebook account to watch the videos.) For details, see dedicated post.
  • Book Bugs: Farm Fun for Little Ones (10:00 am – 11:00 am) @ Chestnut Hill Farm: Pre-registration required. Bring your little bug (ages 2-6) to the farm for an interactive children’s story time. We’ll read a farm story, make a craft, have a kid-friendly snack, and explore the farm! This event is most appropriate for preschoolers and toddlers but all are welcome – bring the little siblings! For details, see dedicated post.
  • Library’s Virtual Story Time (10:30 am) @ Facebook: Children’s Librarian “Miss Kim” will hold a story time on Facebook live, which will also be viewable after. (Note: you don’t have to have a Facebook account to watch the videos.)
  • Creative Writing Club (3:00 – 3:40 pm) @ zoom: Southborough Library is hosting this weekly club for tweens and teens through mid-August. Are you looking for a new place to foster your writing? How about a welcoming environment to share writing projects? Or maybe some help practicing your writing skills in a fun way? Tuesday afternoons meet with other writers along with library associate Marianna Sorensen to brainstorm ideas and share projects. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Movie Night – Toy Story 4 (8:00 – 9:40 pm) @ Neary School athletic fields, 59 Parkerville Rd: Southborough Recreation is organizing the outdoor movie series. Attendance is free with no registration required. Bring your own chairs or blankets. Face coverings are required when not seated within the marked areas.   • Virtual Reading Circle (8:00 – 9:00 pm) @ zoom: Virtual Reading Circle – for adults. It’s a chance to talk about what you’re reading or listening to with library staff and patrons. To register, click here.

  • Fairy House & Gnome Home Hike and Workshop (10:00 am – 12:00 pm) @ Chestnut Hill Farm: Pre-registration required. Join us to build a special home for some magical woodland creatures. We’ll go on a hike to collect natural materials then each child can create their own fairy or gnome home. If you have something special to add to your house, feel free to bring it with you.   • Brew Moon Hike (7:00 – 9:00 pm) @ Chestnut Hill Farm: Family Friendly program. Pre-registration required. Join us for a special evening hike accompanied by a beer tasting with a local craft brewery. Before and after the hike, a brewery will provide flights of beer for sampling and describe their various flavor profiles. There will be light snacks, and beverages will be provided for children — plus s’mores by the bonfire, too! (weather permitting). For details, see dedicated post.

  • Hike with Goats (10:00 am – 2:00 pm) @ Chestnut Hill Farm: Pre-registration required. (Select an hour time slot) Take a leisurely hike through Chestnut Hill Farm’s beautiful grounds and trails, accompanied by one or more of our friendly goats! Hiking with goats is a fun and unique way to spend some time in nature and make some cuddly goat friends at the same time. Your reservation gets you and your group of family or friends an hour-long experience with a friendly goat on its own harness and leash. For details, see dedicated post.
