The Southborough Library is bringing back its Read to a Dog program to encourage young readers. Since the Library still isn’t scheduled to reopen doors, the reading sessions will be held virtually.
Children preferably ages 5 and up with some reading ability will read to Bear, a certified therapy dog. Each child participating will have a chance to read a short book to Bear over Zoom and can listen to the other readers.
Four sessions are scheduled for this fall, Saturdays September 12th & 26th and October 10th & 24th from 11:00 – 11:40 am.
Sign up soon. The event is limited and requires pre-registration through Southborough Recreation:
Limit 3 children per session. Participants must register at: bit.ly/sblibvirtual16.
If you have any questions about the program, please email Children’s Librarian Kim Ivers at kivers@southboroughma.com.
