Algonquin’s parking lot is being converted to a Drive-In Movie theater this Saturday, October 17th. ARHS’ chapter of Best Buddies is hosting a screening of “A Night at the Museum”.
[Editor’s Note: The event was postponed to November 7th.]
The event is a fundraiser for the Best Buddies Friendship Walk of Central MA. Best Buddies is:
a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, leadership development, and inclusive living for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
Each vehicle will be encouraged to donate $25 to the cause by credit/debit card.*
The movie night is scheduled for 6:30 pm with arrival starting at 6:00 pm. The fundraiser is open to residents of Northborough and Southborough districts, plus those in the districts sharing the same high school athletic pod. (Those schools are Leominster, Shrewsbury, Westborough, and Wachusett Regional).
For those unfamiliar with the movie, it’s a family friendly, adventure-comedy starring Ben Stiller and a cast of big names including Robin Williams.

*For safety, rather than handling money, organizers will be using a mobile reader to scan credit/debit cards.
Updated (10/19/20 4:22 pm): Organizers informed me that the event is postponed to November 7th. All other details remain the same, including the linked registration page.
