Here are highlights of what’s happening around town this Halloween weekend. Fortunately, it appears the snowstorm is tapering off in time to enjoy this afternoon and evening’s activities. (Note: OK, it was supposed to taper off before 3:00 pm. But it’s 3:16 and still coming down. Hopefully it is ending soon!)
Halloween will be chilly, but on the plus side it’s expected to be a clear night for the full moon.
- Trick or Treat at the Library (2:30 – 4:30 pm) @ Southborough Library: Kids are encouraged to come in costume to the window of the Southborough Library’s Children Room to collect a bag of treats. (Entry into the building is still off limits.) Participants must wear a face mask. (As of a little after 3 pm, the Library was still giving this event a greenlight and hoping for the snow to end soon!)
- Jack O’Lantern Drive By (6:00 pm) @ throughout town: Southborough Girl Scouts will light up Southborough with pumpkins. Since kids weren’t able to participate in the annual pumpkin display Heritage Day weekend, Girl Scout families are being encouraged to put out their carved pumpkins on Friday night in locations easy to spot from cars driving by. For details on where to find them, click here.
