SFA’s Christmas tree sales start this Saturday

Southborough Firefighter’s Association is continuing its over 50 year tradition of selling Christmas trees. Trees will be sold out of the golf course parking lot behind the public safety building at 32 Cordaville Road.

The sale starts this Saturday (November 28) and runs until their trees sell out. Hours are 9:00 am – 9:00 pm on weekends and weekday evenings from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm.

SFA Christmas Tree sale (photo by Beth Melo) At the SFA tree lot you can usually find a wide range of tree sizes, ranging from 5-feet to 13-feet, all with reasonable prices. Your tree will get a fresh cut before volunteers help you load it onto your car/truck. It’s a quick and easy trip.

Due to the pandemic, the firefighters need to follow different safety guidelines this year. The only bad news is that they can’t tie the trees onto vehicle roofs. The good news includes that if you live in town, they can deliver it for you (for an extra $10 on specific days)

Proceeds from the sale benefit the Southborough Firefighters Association.

Here are the posted safety rules:
🎄Everyone must wear a mask while selecting and purchasing trees
🎄We will *NOT* be allowed to tie trees onto vehicles this year because it requires that we enter the vehicle
🎄We will be offering a delivery option for Southborough residents only (driveway drop off) for an additional $10 on specific days which are TBD
🎄There will be an option to pay electronically
🎄Our staff will be diligently cleaning and sanitizing surfaces each day

We always appreciate your support, especially during this most unusual year!
Updated (11/24/20 12:22 pm): A commenter was asking if he would be allowed to tie a tree onto his own vehicle’s roof. The answer was yes.
