The Southborough Senior Center has published its latest newsletter. It includes details on more upcoming “Drive Through” programs for current Friends of the Council on Aging.* But the biggest news is the welcoming back of some social gatherings. The gatherings will take place outdoors and follow safety protocols.
Registration for events opens this Monday, beginning at 10:00 am.
Here are highlights:
Drive Through Luncheons – $5 suggested donations
Wednesday, May 26th and Wednesday, June 9th from 12:00 to 12:30 pm
Drive Through/Pickup for Creative activities:
Tina Bemis Porch Pot kits – $15 suggested donation – Wednesday, June 23rd, 11:00 to 11:30 am
Claytime Craft Project supply kit – $15 suggested donation – Wednesday, June 2nd, 11:00 am (bring project back to be glazed on or before, Wednesday, June 16)
Gatherings on the Lawn
We will be working with the social distance, masks, and maximum signups for each program as they are stated by our Governor and Board of Health at the time. Hopefully more of these type programs will follow as time goes on. The Staff is thrilled to welcome you back, even if we still have to be outside. Use of the “New Bathroom” will be granted but unfortunately that is the only part of the Senior Center allowed at this time. These programs are weather dependent.
Continental Breakfasts – $2 Suggested Donations – May 21st, June 4th, and June 18th at 10:30 am
Uhlmans Ice Cream – $3 Social Suggested Donation – June 30th at 1:00pm and 3:00pm
