It’s time to start thinking about those New Year’s resolutions. If getting fit is going to be one of yours, here’s a great new program from the Rotary Clubs of Northborough and Southborough.
The Rotary Clubs of Northborough and Southborough are joining forces to bring a Biggest Loser to Metro-West. The idea is similar to the television program by the same name where teams of individuals compete to see which team can loose the largest percentage of weight.
For twelve weeks, every Wednesday night starting on January 20, 2010 and ending April 7, 2010 teams will weigh in at the Algonquin Regional High School. Each Wednesday, the program will begin at 6PM followed by the opportunity to visit several information booths dedicated to fitness, nutrition and lifestyle. At 7PM there will be a keynote speaker with a question and answer segment. Topics will include various forms of fitness, nutrition and lifestyle changes. The cost of the entire program is $30 per person.
Teams of no less than four and no more than eight can register, or individuals can register and join a team at the first meeting. Each member will be weighed in private and individually by a nurse. Only team weights will be reported and tracked from week to week. At the end of the program a grand prize will be awarded to the team losing the largest percentage of weight.
For more information contact Pam O’Donnell of the Southborough Rotary Club at (508) 612-8054. To register for the program send a check for $30 along with your name and e-mail address to the Rotary Club of Southborough, P.O. Box 391, Southborough, 01772. Please make your check payable to the Rotary Club of Southborough. Also indicate you team mates and team name or indicate that you are registering individually.
