Every year the Southborough Fire Department collects toys to donate to local families. Fire Chief John Mauro Jr. says this year donations are way down.
“It may be because so many agencies are collecting and so many people are feeling the crunch,” Mauro said.
But the need is still very much there. If you can help, drop off new, unwrapped toys at the Fire Station by Friday. The toys will be distributed to area families by Southborough Youth and Family Services, the Southborough Food Pantry, and the Framingham Salvation Army.
