Yesterday, both Algonquin soccer teams won their Central Mass Semi-Finals. The Finals have been moved to Sunday, October 31st at Doyle Field in Leominster.
Girls Soccer will play at 11:00 am against Grafton. It’s the first and only time they’re facing off this fall.
The Gonk Girls had three more losses than the Gators this season. But, the MIAA power rankings put ARHS in 7th place for Division 1, vs Grafton’s 10th place for Division 2. On Thursday, the ARHS Girls beat Shrewsbury 2-0.
The Boys will take on Leominster at 1:30 pm. ARHS lost to them once earlier this season. They were also one of two teams to tie the undefeated Devils. Gonk is ranked 5 notches lower than the 6th place team in the MIAA Division 1 power rankings.
On Thursday, the ARHS Boys beat Westborough 3-0.
That evening, Girls Volleyball lost to Westborough 0-3 in the Central Mass Finals. Their journey isn’t over. Stay tuned for news on the MIAA state tournaments.
