This past weekend was packed with special events. The most notable was the annual visit from Santa. I’m sharing some of the photos that I and others captured around town.

Santa Day
Shortly after noon, Santa Claus flew in by helicopter and landed on St. Mark’s School’s field. Making up for last year, he spent quite a while greeting the masses of families that gathered to greet him. Then he crossed over to the Community House where he posed with children who came in to visit.
Fortunately, it was a partly sunny, mild winter day. The families waiting in line outside of the venue were entertained by carolers and special visitors including Olaf the Snowman.
Inside, Santa (as always) was friendly and gentle with little ones nervous about posing for photos:
Southborough Kindergroup put on the event. In addition to some of the above photos, they posted a quick video of Santa looking down on the crowd from the helicopter. You can view that here.
The night prior, Girl Scouts kicked off the season with their annual sing-along outside of the Community House.
Christmas shopping galore
Annual Kids Shop, Christmas Bazaar, Pop Up Holiday Market
On Saturday morning, Boy Scout Troop 92 provided a safe haven for kids to do their own holiday shopping for family members without parents’ prying eyes. St. Mark’s Episcopal Church held its annual fundraiser. And a special sale with artisans was held at Knights of Columbus Hall.
Apothecary Artists Studio and Gallery opening
That evening, four Southborough artists celebrated the opening of their new downtown gallery.
