The Southborough Library is seeking feedback from the community:
Please help the Southborough Library plan for the future by answering some questions regarding library space and library services [here]. The library appreciates your time and feedback. The survey will close on Sunday, March 13, 2o22.
In addition to responding online, patrons can fill out printed versions of the survey available at the Library.
The survey’s space needs questions look for input relevant to both the Library’s constraints and recent Town discussions about municipal building needs across all departments. The survey notes:
The Southborough Library is at capacity for space. As new materials are added to the library, older material has to be weeded out of the collection.
The form seeks public opinions on whether to add onto the Library, relocate it, or move part of its resources/services to an annex location. (The last possibility was raised in a report by a consultant for the Capital Planning Committee.) It also asks about whether the community would support converting the Library’s one remaining meeting room to be used for other purposes.
In terms of services, feedback sought includes ideas for adult programs, satisfaction with electronic resources, and need for circulating hotspots.
