The ARHS Track team is holding its “Algonquin Track & Field Camp” again this summer. The camp is open to children currently in grades K-8.
The camp will take place at the high school for one week this summer. The program will run from 5:00 – 8:00 pm, Monday, June 20th – Friday the 24th.
That is the final week of NSBORO school. If there are no more cancellations, the final half is scheduled for Tuesday, June 21st, following a long weekend.*
Campers, split by grades, take part in throwing, jumping, running and hurdling activities. On the final evening, they’ll compete in a track meet with an awards ceremony and demonstration by high school athletes.
The coach and student run camp is an ARHS Track team fundraiser. This year, the fee is $120 per child ($360 max per family).
The deadline for registration is June 13th. For more details and to register, click here.

*Juneteenth (June 19) was adopted as a state holiday in July 2020. Because it falls on a Sunday this year, the official day off is June 20th.
Updated (3/17/22 4:38 pm): The initial info I received had an error in the pricing.
Updated (3/18/22 12: 29 pm): I accidentally referred to the final “morning”. The camp is in the evenings this year.
“On the final morning” ??? Really???
Oops. Sorry, I copied and updated last year’s post. Last year it did take place in the morning.
