If you read John Halligan’s story, it will break your heart. Halligan’s 13-year-old son Ryan killed himself in 2003 after being bullied by classmates at school and online. Halligan was left to agonize over what he could have done to prevent his son’s death.
Halligan will share the lessons his family learned too late in a presentation for parents on bullying, cyberbullying, and youth depression. The presentation will take place at Trottier Middle School on January 27 at 7:00 pm.
Sponsored by the Southborough Organization for Schools, the presentation will empower parents with strategies to take preventative actions with their own children. It is free and open to adults only.
