Members of Algonquin Regional High School’s robotics team are offering kids a chance to “Learn the basics of programing robots”.
Team 1100 rebranded itself this spring as Inverse Polarity. Their website promotes:
Through participation in the annual FIRST Robotics Competition, support of local FIRST LEGO League teams, and community outreach activities, FIRST Team 1100 inspires young people from Algonquin Regional High School and surrounding communities to be science and technology leaders. We accomplish this by engaging them in challenging mentor-guided programs that build science, engineering and technology skills that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life skills including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.
One of the chances for kids to be inspired is Wednesday, July 27th. Kids can sign up to take part in one of the free sessions at the Northborough Library.
Times are split by two age groups:
- Ages 8 – 10 years old: 3:00 – 4:00 pm
- Ages 11 – 13 years old: 6:00 – 7:00 pm
Registration is through a SignUp Genius page here. You can learn more about the team here.
