A number of incumbents appear to be planning their re-election campaigns this year, but as of last week, only one had officially thrown his hat in the ring. Selectman Sal Giorlandino filed paperwork earlier this month to run for re-election in May. It would be his second term.
Giorlandino recently told the Metrowest Daily News, “I enjoy it in the sense that I like the collegiality on our board … It’s times like these that test your mettle, and although we haven’t always agreed, we’ve always been able to settle our differences in a civil manner.”
Regional School Committee member Daniel Kolenda, who was a mid-term appointment to the committee last fall, has taken out papers, but has not yet filed them. But with a filing deadline of March 22, he’s got some time.
Incumbents up for re-election who have not yet started the filing process include Moderator David Coombs, Planning Board member Richard Connors, and School Committee member Deborah Keefe, who like Kolenda, was a mid-term appointment.
