Soup’s on: In-person Cooking Demonstration at Library

A dietitian who held healthy cooking demos at the Southborough Senior Center in the past will be showing Library patrons how to make simple soups this month.

Recently, I shared information on the Library’s upcoming programs related to cooking. They added a new healthy cooking program this month. In addition to the virtual classes, the Library will host an in-person session at the Library. Those who attend the demonstration can expect to bring home samples.

On Saturday, January 21st, Dietitian Karen White will offer a free cooking demonstration on making healthy soups:

Two easy, simple, nutritious and delicious soups will be made and sampled. Karen will share recipes and tips on how to make your soups low in sodium but full of flavor.

The Library promotes that White has been a Registered Dietitian for over 30 years and has worked as a professor at Framingham State University, a supermarket dietitian, and as a clinical dietitian at Harrington Hospital.

(Residents may also know her from past demonstrations at the Southborough Senior Center.)

The event does require pre-registration, available here or by emailing msorensen@southboroughma.com.

The demo will take place in the Eaton Room downstairs at 2:00 pm.
