The Rotary Club of Southborough is sponsoring it’s 31st Annual Earth Day Clean Up on Saturday, April 22nd.
Community members are encouraged to volunteer time cleaning our streets. The starting time is 8:30 am at the Southborough DPW Building, 147 Cordaville Road (off the driveway for the Transfer Station).
To motivate an early start, coffee and treats will be available. (First come first served.)
Volunteers are also welcomed to celebrate their efforts in front of the Southborough Library at noon. Enjoy a free pizza lunch with ice cream.
In between breakfast and lunch, you’ll be helping to clean up the streets in town. Remember to be prepared with your own work gloves and “sturdy footwear”.
Have a favorite spot that needs TLC? To adopt a favorite street in advance, call Southborough’s Department of Public Works at 508-485-1210 or visit the office. Or just show up that morning from 8:30 – 11:00 am to pick a street and grab your bags.
The Rain Date for the event is Sunday, April 23rd.
Stay tuned for details on other Earth Day related events as part of Southborough’s annual Planet Palooza.
I’ve done this the past few years and there is never a shortage of trash to pickup. Please feel free to join in this year!
