Previously, I shared news that Southborough’s Trails Committee is hosting a special outdoor yoga series to support the Town’s Mental Health Awareness Month campaign. Two of the events were postponed due to the weather. (And another I forgot to include in the event highlights for this week.)
[Note: Reminder, the Celebrate Wellness event to cap off the month is tonight.]
The yoga events will be led by Emma Bartolini, “a yoga teacher, artist, dancer with a special affinity to all things botanical.” Specific sessions are geared to adults and teens. (The one for families took place earlier this month.)
Adult Yoga Sessions
Saturday, June 3rd and Sunday, June 11th at 9:00 am
Start your morning with a relaxing yoga flow, and the beautiful Southborough landscape this spring- with Yoga on the Trails. Our practice will draw inspiration from our surroundings in nature, and incorporate synchronization of breath and mindful movement. We’ll explore postures to build strength, balance, stability and to find peace within our morning.
Teens Yoga Session
Sunday, June 4th at 11:00 am
Come join us for Yoga on the Trails, just for teens! Drop of your teens and take a walk on the adjacent trails – a win-win for all.
This is a beginner friendly class, surrounded by the beauty of nature. Yoga helps us find a sense of belonging, empowerment, self regulation, and the quiet within. Our class will incorporate balance, strength, flexibility, as well as teach skills to help reduce stress and anxiety. No experience necessary- all are welcome.
For all of the sessions, participants are asked to bring a yoga mat, a towel to lay down on the ground, and a water bottle. To register, and for more details, click here.
