Gino L. Tebaldi, 90, of Hudson and formerly of Southborough passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 surrounded by the love of his family. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary Anne (Hogan) Tebaldi who passed away in 2020.
Born in Southborough, he was the only son of Terenzio and Augusta Tebaldi and was a 1950 graduate of the former Peter’s High School of Southborough. After graduation he joined the US Navy and attended electronics school. He was stationed in a Fighter Squadron in Miramar, CA. As an Aviation Electronics Technician 3rd Class in the US Naval Air Force during the Korean War Conflict, he was deployed overseas as part of a Patrol Squadron.
Upon his return from miliary service, he worked in construction. Then, applying his electronics skills and experience from the military, Gino was employed at Raytheon for nearly 40 years. He had an assignment at Cape Canaveral working with the Air Force and regarded his contributions to the satellite program as one of the highlights of his career.
Gino was extremely proud of his military service and was a dedicated member of the American Legion, Post 161 and Veterans of Foreign War, Post 3276 in Southborough for over 60 years and was a lifetime member of the Fayville Athletic Association. He was also a member of the Italian Americans Veterans Post, Knights of Columbus, and St Michael Church of Hudson.
Gino was extremely devoted to his family and friends. Over the years, he had many adventures including his trips to Italy visiting relatives. He and Mary lovingly maintained the family homestead and were a great team in every way. Gathering with loved ones, making wine, leading home projects, attending sporting events, collecting, and more. He lived life to the fullest and was a man of many talents and attributes. Gino was a wonderful storyteller, a kind and endearing soul, and a friend to many.
He is survived by his daughter, Christine Tebaldi Elden and her husband Robert of Southborough; his sister Wilma Saunders of Ohio; many nieces and nephews, and longtime friends.
He was predeceased by an infant son, Anthony Michael Tebaldi and his sisters, Lidia Kiley and Rena Blais.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, June 25, 2023 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the Morris Johnston Funeral Home, 40 Main Street, Southborough, MA.
A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 26, 2023 at 11:00 am at St Anne Church, 20 Boston Road, Southborough. Burial will follow in the Southborough Rural Cemetery.
