The Trottier chapter of SOS (Southborough Organization for Schools) asked me to share a public thank you to those who helped make the 8th Grade Banquet a success.
The end of middle school is a significant milestone for Southborough students, most of whom have gone through the Southborough schools together since Kindergarten. In the fall, most will move on to the regional high school (where they’ll be outnumbered by Northborough students), while others will head to the technical school or a private academy.
To mark the occasion, the SOS organizes an annual banquet. Here are the details on this year’s celebration and SOS’s thank you, along with photos they shared:
The Trottier 8th Grade Banquet took place on Friday, June 16, at Trottier Middle School. The school gym was transformed by an army of parent volunteers to fit the evening’s theme: “A Night to Remember.” Purple, blue, and silver balloon archways, silver stars, and tables with beautiful flower arrangements and flickering LED candles decorated the space.
Five creative “selfie stations” with themes including Paris, Red Carpet, Celtics, Good Vibes, and Streamers & Lights stood along one wall of the gym for the kids to strike a pose with their friends. There was also a chill-out lounge area in the lobby along with a photo booth, plus tons of amazing food and desserts, and a DJ to keep the party going. By all accounts, the 8th graders had the time of their lives and it absolutely was a night to remember!
