Southborough Recreation has shared more details on this year’s “Summer Nights” festival.
A warning for residents with skittish dogs — make sure they’re well secured. Rec is promoting a larger fireworks show and bigger shells “sure to make a . . . bang”!
Parking for the festival is set to open at 5:00 pm this Saturday, August 26th. The festivities run until dark, ending with the fireworks show to shoot off around 8:15 pm.
It will look a lot like last year, except with more food vendors. There will still be plenty to satisfy your sweet tooth, but a couple more dinner options as well. (Scroll down for the list of vendors.)
Families can again enjoy the free face painting, and inflatable park, followed by fireworks. Other activities newly confirmed as back this year are the ARHS Robotics demos on the tennis courts and “unlimited photos” at the photo booth.
Even the live music is an encore from last year. A local favorite, Hit the Bus, will return. They’ll hit the stage at 5:30 pm.
Be sure to bring your picnic blankets and/or chairs to enjoy dinner with the show. This year’s booked food vendors are:
- Potato Potato (Loaded fries& tots)
- Cousins Maine Lobster (Lobster, seafood, & more)
- Trolley Dogs (Hot dogs & fries)
- Anzio’s Brick Oven Pizza (Pizza)
- Grub Guru (Asian Fusion, Mediterranean)
- Atrevete a probar (Quesadillas, tacos, nachos & more)
- Moe’s Sweet Eats (Fried dough & oreo specialties)
- Doug’s Fried Dough
- Uhlman’s Ice Cream
- Yummy Mummy (Bakery)
- Shabby Gourmet (Fresh squeezed juices)
- Trombetta’s Ice Cream
Parking will be split between the lots at Neary School (59 Parkerville Road) and parking is generally accessible at Trottier Middle School (via the Deerfoot Road entrance).
If you are dropping off or picking up attendees, use the Lundblad Field turnoff on Parkerville Road.
