The Rotary Club of Southborough and Economic Development Committee are putting on a networking event in two weeks. They invite:
Do you all know your local businesses are in and around Southborough? Come meet your fellow business partners with The Inside Scoop! . . .
We’ll have name tags, a few questions on how to support local businesses, and conversation starter cards – let’s rekindle our connections!
The flyer specifies that attendees (the first 100) will get a free scoop of ice cream, via the Trombetta’s Farm Ice Cream Truck.
The event will take place on Thursday, September 21st from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at Cordaville Hall (also the Senior Center), 9 Cordaville Road.
A flyer pitches:
Meet dynamic leaders; maximize visibility with local businesses, non-profit organizations, and town leaders; build connections; advance careers; and grow your business to help us sustain Southborough’s prosperity
Of course, as their press release highlights, “With Rotary, there is always a service aspect”.
This time, they will be asking attendees for donations to support those affected by Maui fires. Rotary pledges, “100% of your donation will go towards the cause.”
You don’t have to wait for the event to donate to their fundraiser for the Maui Fires Relief Fund in conjunction with Rotary District 5000 (Hawaii). You can click here or Venmo @rotarysouthborough with the note “Create Hope for Maui”.
