The 17th annual Gobble Wobble walk and run will take place on Thanksgiving morning. Registration opens tomorrow, and there are a few details this year worth highlighting.
For those not familiar, the Gobble Wobble combines a 5K timed race with a 2 mile family-friendly walk.
The annual event is offered to support “community health, togetherness, and spirit”. But is also the Friends of Rec’s big annual fundraiser. Proceeds help support community recreation (facilities, programs, etc.)
This year:
- No dogs will be allowed on the course. [Note: If you want to include your dog on a walk or run, check out the October 1st Shannon’s Path event.]
- The Friends of Southborough Recreation will be collecting used sneakers. (Scroll down for those details.)
- At the event previous years’ event shirts (and extras from this year) will be for sale. ($15 for ’23, $10 for ’22, and $5 for older shirts. Sizes limited.)
