Occasionally, I like to remind readers of all the great museums and parks that the Southborough Library offers discount admission to. With an upcoming long weekend, this is a great time to check one out.
As I noted in my prior post, the Library is closed Thursday – Saturday. That means that any physical passes would need to be picked up by Wednesday at 9:00 pm. But the Library also offers some e-vouchers/passes that can be checked out online.
The passes cover a variety of museums for all age groups and interests. Some seasonal venues are closed, but the following are available this time of year:
- Basketball Hall of Fame, Springfield
- Battleship Cove, Fall River
- Boston Children’s Museum
- Danforth Museum, Framingham
- Discovery Museum, Acton
- EcoTarium, Worcester
- The Icon Museum & Study Center (formerly Museum of Russian Icons), Clinton
- Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston
- Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, Boston
- Mass. State Police Museum & Learning Center, Whitinsville
- Museum of Fine Arts, Boston
- Museum of Science, Boston
- New England Aquarium, Boston
- Salem Witch Museum, Salem
- Tower Hill Botanic Garden, Boylston
- Trustees Go Pass
- Access/parking at many of The Trustees of Reservations properties
- Castle Hill on the Crane Estate, Ipswich
- Decordova Sculpture Park, Lincoln
- Fruitlands Museum, Harvard
- USS Constitution Museum, Boston
- Zoo New England
- Franklin Park Zoo, Boston
- Stone Zoo, Stoneham
Please note that several passes need to be returned by 10am the next day the library is open. (In the case of this long weekend, ones checked out on Wednesday aren’t due back until Monday morning.)
You can find details and reserve passes through the library’s website pass manager. Or you can make reservations by calling 508-485-5031 during library hours.
Most of the passes are made possible through funding from the Friends of the Southborough Library.* The Southborough Gardeners sponsor the Tower Hill pass.
