Oil truck accident on Flagg Road last week

From the Southborough Fire Department:

An oil delivery truck slid off of the roadway on Flagg Road near Route 9 after noon on April 6th. The right side tires sank into the soft ground causing full tank truck to lean precariously over a stone wall.

The driver driver of the tank truck, containing approximately 2,600 gallons of home heating oil, ensured that the proper safety devices were in place and fuel was contained to the tank.

Ted’s towing was called to secure the truck from tipping over. A second tank truck was dispatched by the company and the load of fuel was offloaded prior to the truck being righted.

Flagg Road was closed for approximately 2 hours during the incident.

I passed by when the driver was on his cell making calls…. I’m glad to hear it turned out alright and thankful to have missed the road closure!
