Since I last posted, two Algonquin teams fell out of the MIAA state championship playoffs, and more teams have been scheduled to enter it, with some playing today or this weekend.
ARHS Tennis teams were the first to enter the playoffs this week.
In the Division 2 Preliminary Round, #32 Boys Tennis beat #33 Whitman-Hanson 5-0 on Monday. In yesterday’s first round, they faced top seed Westborough — a team that already beat them twice this season. The Titans lost 5-0.
Girls Tennis fell out of the tourneys on Tuesday. The #17 Titans played #16 Needham in the Division 1 Round of 32. They lost 4-1.
Brackets were posted for Baseball and Lacrosse. All three qualified to skip the D2 prelims.
Girls Lacrosse is #23. They’ll head to Westborough this afternoon at 4:00 to challenge the #10 Rangers in the Round of 32. A few weeks ago, Westborough beat them 14-9 in a regular season game.
8th seed Baseball will host #25 Grafton in the Round of 32 tomorrow at 3:00 pm.
#19 Boys Lacrosse‘s Round of 32 is Monday at 6:00 pm. The CMass Champs will head to Plymouth South to take on the #14 team.

As I previously posted, Rugby is also slated for upcoming playoffs.
Boys Rugby is #7 out of 8 teams in the D2 tourney. They’ll travel to challenge #2 Hanover in the Round of 8 on Saturday at 4:00 pm.
2nd seed Girls Rugby will have to wait until Tuesday to enter the 4-team D1 tourney. Their Final Four game will be against #3 Weymouth at the Gonkplex on June 7th at 6:30 pm.
