Southborough Cultural Arts Council (SCAC) is asking residents to complete a survey.
Before the next grant application cycle opens, they need to ensure their funding is updated and aligned to meet community interests. They are also looking for new volunteers to help them with their mission.
The SCAC asked me to share their request for residents to complete the survey at your leisure, stressing “your input is invaluable“. (Their announcement says the survey should only take 10 minutes, but I estimate about 5 minutes.)
The survey (here) is open through July 31st.
SCAC is the Southborough chapter of the Mass Cultural Council-Local Cultural Council. The survey that councils’ objective is:
supporting and advancing the role that arts, culture, and creativity play in our communities.
Their grants can support a variety of artistic projects and activities — including exhibits, festivals, workshops, lectures, concerts, theater, dance, music, school field trips, performances in schools, afterschool programs, artist workspaces, and even film.
Decisions about which activities to support for Southborough are made by a board of resident volunteers. To help with the funding cycle opening this fall, SCAC is recruiting new members:

Members created an info page with a description of members roles. It explains that they generally meet once per month, September through May (typically on the 3rd Tuesday evening). Learn more here.
