There are still openings next week’s visit from the Blood Mobile. Organizers are looking for more people to sign up for time slots with the travelling blood donation center that serves Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
As usual, the bloodmobile will be parked in the Southborough Library’s parking lot at 25 Main Street.
If you would like to donate life giving blood through the Kraft Family Blood Donor Center’s Blood Mobile, slots are available as of this posting for Thursday, July11th at the following times:
- 12:40 pm
- 3:40 pm
- 4:40 pm
- and 5:20 – 6:20 pm
If those times don’t work, they’ll also allow some walk-ins.
To register a slot, click here.
As an incentive/reward, those who successfully donate will receive a T-shirt. (See flyer right.)
Brigham and Women’s continues to advertise an immediate need for Type-O positive and negative whole blood.” (Of course, they are also seeking blood from those that don’t meet that criteria.)
To donate, you must be over 17 years old, at least 110lbs., and “in good health and feeling well”, and bring a Photo ID. (From past drives, participants are also encouraged to “Be well hydrated and eat before donating”.)
If you have other concerns about specific eligibility issues, please email BloodDonor@partners.org or call 617-632-3206.
Organizer Karen Anglim has arranged for the Blood Mobile to return every 2-3 months this year. (Each on a Thursday at the Library from 12:00 – 6:30 pm.) So you can mark your calendars and stay tuned for registration info for September 26th and December 5th.
Updated (7/8/24 8:53 am): I had accidentally referred to the May date within the post.
