Next week (fingers crossed), Paxton Crossing will entertain from Neary’s outdoor stage. It will be the second concert in this year’s Summer Concert series.
It was meant to be the third, but this week’s was cancelled due to the severe thunderstorms passing through the region.
The Paxton Crossing concert will take place Wednesday, July 24th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
The band plays “a variety of music, including original songs and covers, from a variety of genre”.
It will be the band’s third time participating in the series. (They also played in 2019 and 2023.) If you missed those performances, you can preview some of their style via this Facebook video of them playing in Paxton’s outdoor music series four years ago:
For those looking to make it a dinner concert, the food truck Atrevete a Probar will be on site. (Click links to check out their Facebook and Instagram accounts.)
Southborough Recreation confirmed that they successfully rescheduled this week’s concert. That means the six week concert series will continue each Wednesday through August 21st:
- July 31 – Last Call Radio
- August 7 – Stacey Peasley (Children’s Concert)
- August 14 – Elastic 5 Band
- August 21 – Brett Warwick & Friends
The series is again sponsored by The Southborough Community Fund, Friends of Southborough Recreation, and Southborough Cultural Arts Council (funded through the Mass Cultural Council).
Updated (7/19/24 7:40 am): I initially referred to last night’s concert, when I meant Wednesday night’s. (Confession, I wrote the post yesterday but scheduled it to run this morning.)
Updated (7/19/24 3:46 pm): I updated the post with more details I received from Rec today.
Updated (7/25/24 9:35 am): I realized this morning that the caption and story excerpt referred to the band playing the “final” concert of the summer series. They did in a past summer, but not this year.
