If weather cooperates, next week will be the last of the regular Wednesday night Southborough Summer Concert series.
“Brett Warwick & Friends” were originally set to perform in July, but had to be rescheduled due to the weather. The week prior, Warwick had promoted on Facebook:
Please join us at The Southborough Summer Concert Series next week for an evening of rocking tunes, madcap hilarity, and good times all around. Brett Warwick & Friends! With my very special guests Paul Ledoux & Christopher Principe! You KNOW you want to be there!
For those who’d like a sample of his sound, in June, Warwick posted a Facebook Reel of him (and an unnamed friend) covering The Traveling Wilburys’ Handle With Care. You can find that here.
The concert will take place Wednesday August 21st from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Neary School’s field, 53 Parkerville Road.
Concert goers are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs and enjoy a picnic. Prepare to bring your own dinner (or eat in advance). But you can buy dessert from Yummy Mummy Bakery’s booth.
The free Summer Concert Series is sponsored by The Southborough Community Fund, Friends of Southborough Recreation, and Southborough Cultural Arts Council (funded through the Mass Cultural Council).
Although the last of the weeknight series, it’s not the last outdoor concert this summer. As always, a live band is part of the outdoor, end of summer festival, Southborough Summer Nights. Find more details on that August 24th event here.
