Starting next week, the Southborough Library will host more monthly Crafternoon workshops this fall for tweens and teens ages 8+.
The sessions are all scheduled for Wednesday afternoons from 4:30 – 5:30 pm on the Library main floor.
First up is one geared to help kids be organized this school year. On Wednesday, September 11th Roberge will lead “Clipboard Makeovers“.
Promoting a similar workshop three years ago, the library wrote:
The clipboard makeover project is a fun way for kids to personalize a clipboard based on their personal and academic needs and goals. . . this workshop with Mandy Roberge includes access to everything from patterned papers and maki tape to stickers and fun markers

Mini Pumpkin Painting* — October 19th

Create a unique little fall decoration using acrylic enamel paints and other embellishments. (The example right is from Roberge’s Mandela Pumpkin Painting class. This session doesn’t require that design focus.)
Gratitude Journal — November 13th
Wednesday, November 13, 2024, 4:30-5:30 PM
What are you thankful for? Let’s create a personalized journal where you can remind yourself of all the things you have to be grateful for. We will use colorful markers, stickers, tapes and other media to express ourselves.
Wood Slice Ornaments* — December 18th
Whether you have a tree in your home or not, your hand-painted wood-slice ornaments will delight you where you decide to hang them. They also make great gifts for the people you love this holiday season. (The photo example right is from Roberge’s Mandela Ornament Painting class. This session doesn’t require that design focus.)
*The paints used in the pumpkin and ornaments sessions are not washable, so participants are warned to dress accordingly.
