Southborough Rec is offering more opportunities for getting trained (and acquiring a certificate good for 2 years) to save lives through CPR or use of an AED. One of the classess is a week from this tonight.
The classes choices are on Thursdays, September 26th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm and October 10th 4:00 – 6:00 pm or 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
The classes will be put on by the Greater Boroughs Partnership for Health at the Southborough Public Safety Building.
The cost is $30 per person and open to anyone 12 years of age or older.
This class is to learn about “how high-quality CPR improves survival” and how to:
- recognize when someone needs CPR
- perform high-quality CPR for an adult, child, and infant
- give effective breaths using mouth-to-mouth or a mask for all age groups
- use an AED on an adult, child, or infant
- help a choking adult, child, or infant
Upon course completion, students will be Heartsaver certified (CPR/AED) for two years from the date of the class.
