Southborough men invited to join local masons

A Southborough member of a local Freemason Lodge is looking to recruit more men from our town. (The lodge is based in Westborough, but since we don’t have our own, I agreed to share the news.)

This Saturday, October 12th, from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm, the Siloam Lodge of Masons is holding an open house. Tours are available throughout the open house, and members will be present to answer any questions.

The lodge is located at 12 Church Street, Westborough.

Member Mark Pietrewicz asked me to share his invitation:

Freemasonry is one of the oldest fraternal organizations in the world. It unites men of good character who, though of different religious, ethnic or social backgrounds, share a belief in the fatherhood of God and the brotherhood of mankind. Freemasonry offers a system or blueprint for the good man to further improve his character and actions through its system of degrees, symbols, and fellowship opportunities.

The requirements to apply for membership are: you must be a male, over the age of 18, and not an atheist.

On the Siloam Lodge website it shares:

Siloam Lodge has been a part of the Westborough community since 1866! Over the years, we’ve supported, participated and founded countless events in town, from “Boy Scout Council” and the “Fine Arts Parents Council” of the Westborough School System to sponsoring “Little League” teams and helping students within town and nearby towns with financial difficulties.
