Earlier, I shared news about the Southborough Gardeners annual wreath sale. They aren’t the only group that’s selling greenery for the holidays. Pack 1 & 926 scouts are again selling Christmas wreaths, plus Hanukkah candles for their annual fundraiser.
The scouts wrapped up selling door-to-door this fall, but weren’t able to reach every house and street. So, they will again be setting up to sell at the Transfer Station for the next few Saturdays.
You don’t need a Transfer Station permit sticker to find them. While they plan to sell in the Recycling area, they will also be set up in the DPW’s lower parking lot. (And no need to be picky about which pack you support. Packs 1 & 926 will alternate selling times/locations, but proceeds from the Transfer Station sales will be evenly split between them. )
The wreaths are 18″ across and decorated with a red velvet bow. The candles are a box of 45 5.5 inch marbleized dripless Hanukkah candles, in shades of blue and white as pictured right. (click images to enlarge)
The price is $19 per wreath or $15 per box of candles.
The scouts will hold their sales until they sell out. So far, the planned hours are:
- November 23rd from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm
- November 30th from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
- Tentatively — December 7th from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm (If they have enough left in stock)
