Southborough Gardeners are inviting the public to learn about how to “Save the Pollinators, Save the Planet”. The free presentation will be given by a Design and Education Manager from Weston Nurseries.
On Thursday, January 16 at 10:30 am:
Trevor Smith will show us how our gardens, large, small or even a container garden, can help pollinators, improve our local ecosystem and help create climate resilience.
The talk will be held in Saint Mark’s Church’s Stevens Hall at 27 Main Street. A Q&A session will follow the presentation. No registration is required to attend.
The Gardeners’ flyer describes why the community should care about the ecological gardening premise:
Pollinators move from plant to plant searching for food. As they go, they are dusted by pollen and move it to the next flower, fertilizing the plant and allowing it to reproduce and form seeds, berries, fruits, and other plant foods that form the foundation of the food chain for other species—including humans.
