This one is a bit late in coming, but back on May 1, Southborough held its annual Spring Clean Up. DPW Superintendent Karen Galligan told me 52 groups signed up to collect trash from roadways across town.
Galligan said they went through an amazing 550 trash bags, and she estimates they collected at least 30 cubic yards of trash. Wow.
“I went by groups pulling items out of the woods and the reservoir and really digging into the wooded areas to clean-up the town,” Galligan said. “It was great.”
Many thanks to all the volunteers who donated their time and effort to help keep this town looking beautiful.
