If you’re looking for something for your kids to do over school break next week, Apothecary Artists is promoting a program that offers “nostalgic” fun.
Although, it’s promoted as a “camp” it doesn’t have that traditional time commitment. They’ll be offering sessions in the mornings and afternoons for three days. You can sign kids up for a single two hour class or more.
The downtown Southborough studio promotes:
Join us over Vacation for class featuring a nostalgic childhood activities. Your kids can relive or learn skills from the 1980’s such as playing “Cat’s Cradle”, writing backwards, macramé, fortune tellers, and plenty of art!
(I can’t help but point out here, that these nostalgic activities date back much farther than the 80s!)
The classes will be offered on Tuesday, February 18th through Thursday, February 20th at both 10:00 am – noon and 1:00 – 3:00 pm each day.
Each class is $40 “with the option to mix & match morning and afternoons”.
There was no posted age limits, so I reached out. I was told ages 5+ would be appropriate.
The registration page notes that classes:
will be modified based on the ages of the kids who sign up. We believe that mixed aged groups foster community, creativity and fun!
You can register here. The artists studio and gallery is located in a basement suite of the 11 Main Street professional building. (Learn more about them here.)
