Maybe you read my post yesterday on the library’s seed exchange program and thought, “That would be nice, but I don’t have a garden to plant them in.” Well, you’re in luck. Southborough is getting ready to divvy up plots in the Community Garden.
Starting next week, the public will be invited to pay to reserve a section of the garden on Breakneck Hill Conservation Land for planting veggies, herbs, or annual flowers.
This year’s rules aren’t posted yet.* Instead the Town asked me to share that an online application for the 2025 season will be launched on Monday, March 10th.
In past years, plots have been assigned on a first come, first served basis with preference given to Southborough residents. So save the date to remind yourself to check the website for details.
You will be able to find the online application and this year’s details here. You can also sign up to get Conservation’s News Flashes (which should announce this program when it launches) here.
*Although some details (including pricing) may change this spring, you can get an idea of the general guidelines by reading last year’s rules here.
