Obituary: Stefanie Marie (Ranieri) Cappello, 53

On February 28, 2025 Stefanie Marie Ranieri tragically passed away at 53 years old. Stefanie, or as most knew her, ‘Stef with an F’, was born on September 1st, 1971 at Framingham Union Hospital to Theodore Ranieri and Linda Dunnebier.

She grew up in Southborough, attending Algonquin Regional High School (1989) and graduating from Nichols College in Dudley, Ma where she studied Business Marketing. In high school, she won “most spirited”, which was a testament to her incredible personality and loving nature. At Nichols, she was captain of the cheerleading team, welcoming members with her heart of gold and her beautiful smile.

Stefanie created a livelihood for her children with her husband Chuck at Cappello Heavy Transport. She was a devoted Mother to Cecelia and Chuckie Cappello III, and was heavily involved in her children’s activities, and events in Southborough. If you knew Stefanie, you knew she was meant to be a mother. She was a friend to all, offering her kindness through every interaction. Stefanie often brought her community together, whether she was making “Class of 2020” face masks for her daughter’s graduation class or rallying around her son and his friends at baseball games and through difficult times. Her infectious laugh was one of the many traits so many adored about her.

She held her loved ones close, especially her grandmother, “Gram” Sylvia Ranieri and grandfather, “Bookie” Celestino Ranieri. She is survived and deeply missed by her two children, Cecelia and Chuckie. Stefanie also leaves behind her sisters, Kim Ranieri of Deer Isle, Maine, and Maria Ranieri and her husband Kevin Watson of Uxbridge; her father, Theodore Ranieri of Southborough; her mother, Linda Dunnebier of Franklin and her Soul Dog, Friday.

Visiting hours for Stefanie will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 3:00-7:00PM at the Morris-Johnston Funeral Home, 40 Main Street, Southborough, MA 01772.
