Yesterday was an excellent day for taking photos of raindrops, so that’s just what I did. Click on any thumbnail in the gallery to enlarge and view as a slideshow.

Susan,
Your rain drop pictures are so beautiful. I think was with you when you shot the green hosta third in from the top of the photos.
Thanks for sharing.
Erin
Yep, you were there! It’s one of the hostas outside of Woodward. All the others are from my yard. I got a bit wet taking all those photos (and the many, many more that didn’t make the cut), but it was worth it.

BTW, I don’t know what the little white bell-shaped flowers are. Anyone know?
No, they’re not lily-of-the-valley. They might be a shrub known as Mock-orange? They look a little like Pieris or Andromeda Florabunda, but the foliage is different. I’ll do some research. Where did you shoot it?
Nancy’s right — the flowers are on a shrub and don’t have that distinct lily-of-the-valley fragrance. All the photos except the hosta were taken in my yard.

yes, Lily of the Valley–very pretty and will multiply quickly over the course of a few seasons although they have a very particular smell, very perfumey.
Great pictures!

Nancy,
you are right-the foliage is indeed different and when i studied the flower more closely the bell is shaped differently, more scalloped. I am curious as to what it is as well, looks so very similar.

Fantastic! Is the bottom left one an iris about to bloom? I think the hosta might just be my favorite because of how the drops are.

It sure is! It burst into bloom the very next day, I think.
What lovely pictures! Thanks for sharing.
